Abstract: The river-name ‚Trisanna‘ in North Tyrolia is linked via its oldest attestation ‚Truschäna‘ with the name of the ‚vallis Trusiana‘ (later Walgau) in Vorarlberg, both derived from *trusio-. This may be linked with the stems of some Venetic personal names: Tursan-, TVRST- / Trost- and TROS-, and all derived from Indo-European *ters-.
